That sounds like fun!

The Reverend may be in trouble unless they flood them, though. I mean, can he even keep a plastic ball on the lanes?

We've been discussing what the handicap should be for this to try and make it fair for all averages. So we can get as many entries as possible.

The lane pattern will be Badgers house shot... but shortened.

Any suggestions?

75% of 200?

What would a 220 average bowler shoot with only being able to throw plastic on house conditions?

Funny but a serious question....with a Mineralite acceptable entries will be much lower.

A mineralite is not plastic.

Good question on average.

Based on my experiences, throwing plastic on today's much thicker oils is very problematic.  If you don't cut the volume back it is likely to be very hard to strike - doesn't matter how dry the dry is if the wet is very wet there will be tons of pocket splits and buckets most likely.  A guy like Bigpapa could be very tough to beat with "normal" oil volume.  (A great example is how much Rev hits it and strikes with his mineralite but even he sometimes runs into too much middle oil.)

Conversely, back in the day people averaged very high with White Dots and Yellow Dots.

Question: Are you going to have a list of approved plastic balls?  I.E. is a Yellow Dot OK, or some of the newer dynamic core plastics I've heard about?

3-piece only will be approved.  Considering the options of drilling, i.e. balance holes and there relation to changing core and RG dynamics, 3-piece cores will only be accepted. This allows a minimal of advantages. Lane 1 has there big core, this will not be allowed.  All other USBC specs will apply.

The Plastic Classic shot design is done by Kegal with all the considerations to today's oil.  Back to the 70's!

Scoring pace should be high.

So you're saying my RG sparetire is a no-no?

Your spare tire will be fine is what he is saying.  The Lane #1 XXX Plastic is not though...
