Chris… That’s funny… I don’t remember you asking me to give some of your first place money to second at Lake Riply or Dream Lanes, or at Wildcat, because you thought the payout was unfair.
The payout structure has been the same since 07. I do not remember this issue being brought up on the message board since then. If I’m incorrect… I’m sure you will inform me. The payout is certified with the USBC and posted on the flyers along with the website for everyone to see.
What I do remember is people saying MONEY is what will bring bowlers to MAST stops.
I’m not saying it can’t be changed but I do agree with Paul. To change the payout structure this year would be unfair. Definitely is something to look at changing for next year.
Paul, if you are going to spend the time, make sure it’s on some sort of spreadsheet that can allow for additional prize fund money to be added and recalculated quickly based on the number entries. Don’t forget about the different payout structures for fewer bowlers based on a payout of 1 in 4. We would also need this for doubles tournaments. We were thinking about making the payments to an even $ amount. I can send you what we are using if you want to PM me your e-mail so you can see how we have it setup now. It would be nice to have an accountant critique it.
